He is also the Director of the Trifecta Initiative for Interdisciplinary Health Research (a joint research initiative of the College of Engineering, College of Nursing, and the College of Communication Arts & Sciences). For the last 15 years, Dr. Hunter has researched occupational voice use, particularly examining voice disorders in elementary and secondary school teachers.

The Trifecta Initiative Advisory Board meets multiple times each semester to advise on the deliberate use of resources and to guide events to foster the mission. We share information about current research projects, develop partnerships for upcoming grant submissions, and plan our calendar of informational programming and events.
