MSU/Trifecta Researcher Participates in Study to Determine if Smartphone Can Detect Depression

Mi Zhang, MSU Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and a Trifecta Intellectual Leader, participated in a study lead by Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine. The work was focusing on using data from sensors in a smartphone to detect activities such as location and phone usage to determine if the smartphone user is at risk for depression.
